Pizzapino was founded in 1958 by 2 brothers, Max and Andre Sfez. The had just immigrated to France from Tunisia as many people did in the late 1950's from Northern Africa.

They opened the firt Pizzapino in 1958 in Paris, France and their success was immediate. They then opened all over the French capital, in all the strategic parts including the Champs-Elysees, Opera, Les Halles, Montparnasse, Latin Quarters, Bastille as well as the suburbs and even in the center of Lyon.

In 1992, Max's son Gerard, after selling the restaurants, decided to open in Malaga, Spain, where he is enjoying the success of 4 operations.

In 2001, Paco Belassen, Gerard's cousin, who has lived in Phoenix since 1985, trademarked the name Pizzapino, as well as Cafepino, just in case he got the idea to bring this concept and pizza to the United States.

Well, today the dream finally became a reality.The first Cafepino opened in the United States, in a North Scottsdale location in Arizona, as an updated version of Pizzapino from 1958. Paco Belassen partnered up with longtime friend Guy coscas, an experienced successful restaurateur in the valley from Euromarket, The French corner, and Christopher's. Now you can enjoy Cafepino...........It's something else.
